Casas del Lomo is a cluster of six traditional cottages, situated in the tiny hamlet of Chejelipes, approximately 7 km from La Gomera's small island capital San Sebastian. The land on which the cottages stand is still actively farmed, producing grapes for wine and a variety of fruit, and with the Chejelipes water reservoir just along the road, this is a very green and fertile area, ideal for walkers and nature-lovers.
The cottages all vary slightly in size and layout, and each has been individually furnished, but each offers simple but charming accommodation for a couple or a small family. Each has one bedroom, plus the option to sleep one or two additional guests in the living room on sofa-beds or additional beds. The kitchens, which in some of the cottages are open-plan, have fridges, gas or electric hobs, toasters and coffee makers, and the bathrooms have either a bathtub or a walk-in shower. Each cottage also has a furnished terrace where you can relax and enjoy the natural setting and rural views.
There is a small local bar a short stroll from the cottages in Chejelipes itself, and another one a few hundred metres away in the neighbouring hamlet of El Atajo, but as the nearest shops and proper restaurants are a short drive away in San Sebastian, we have automatically included a hire car in your holiday at Casas del Lomo.
