Nafsika Villas (Petra Mare)

Perched on the hillside above Nafsika Apartments and belonging to the same family, this cluster of five pretty holiday homes — also known as Petra Mare Villas — offers an equally peaceful setting and similarly spectacular views across the picturesque bay of Kerveli, but with the added advantage of a greater degree of privacy, as each of the houses is detached with its own terrace and garden area. Two of the houses even boast their own small swimming pools, still something of an unusual bonus on Samos. Naturally, these attract a slight premium over the price of the standard villas.

Painted in different pastel shades on the outside, the houses are all of a similar size but vary slightly inside in terms of layout and décor — some have a homely, traditional feel whilst others have been renovated in a more modern, minimalist style.

Each house has a comfortable living room, an open-plan kitchen, a separate bedroom with either twin beds or a double bed and a modern shower room. The kitchens are well-equipped by Samos standards, with toasters, kettles and coffee-makers provided in each house, alongside a fridge, a ceramic hob and either an oven or an air-fryer, so those who enjoying cooking at home can dine al fresco on their own terrace to make the most of the splendid views, which are especially enchanting at night time, when the lights on the Turkish mainland twinkle across the bay.

Due to the villas' elevated position, we have included a hire car in the cost of your holiday here, which will come in handy for stocking up on groceries. For those who prefer to dine out, the little seaside hamlet of Kerveli with its solitary taverna is barely 5 minutes' drive away, whilst Samos Town with its much wider selection can be reached in around 20 minutes. Your hire car will also be useful for exploring the island and its multi-faceted charms, but then again you may well prefer to spend the majority of your time just relaxing at base and making the most of the peace and serenity of this idyllic spot.
