Vigla Apartments

Built in traditional Greek style, this small cluster of apartments and houses enjoys a quiet yet convenient location on an olive-clad hillside just behind the picturesque harbour village of Ormos. Their elevated setting grants them lovely sea and mountain views, and the village centre with its welcoming tavernas is just a 5-minute walk away, so a hire car is by no means necessary.

Pleasantly furnished in typical island style, the interiors are airy and uncluttered, with whitewashed walls and cool floor tiles and each is air-conditioned for which there is a small local charge. There is a selection of spacious studios, all with twin beds, an open plan kitchenette, a shower room and a terrace or balcony. The one-bedroom apartments are similar, but the kitchenette/dining area is separated from the sleeping area by an archway.

For families or those simply requiring separate sleeping area or a greater degree of privacy, there are also two detached houses. From their terraces, you enter directly into a kitchen/diner. From here, an open staircase leads up to a hallway giving access to two bedrooms (both with twin beds) and a shower room. There is also a ground floor apartment with two bedrooms offering similar accommodation, but all on one level.

Vigla boasts a good size swimming pool, which is surrounded by a stone-flagged terrace for sunbathing and admiring the views towards mighty Mount Kerkis.
