Situated a short walk beyond the Kerveli Village Hotel, this attractive, gleaming-white building occupies an enviable spot perched on the rocks above a tiny beach. Thoughtfully designed so that each of its ten apartment has a spacious terrace facing the sea, Villa Nafsika makes the most of the panoramic views that this setting affords, not only across the picture-postcard bay of Kerveli itself, but also to the rugged mountains of the Turkish mainland.
Villa Nafsika is very much a family business, originally created by the eponymous Nafsika and her husband Takis, who fell in love with this scenic spot in the 1990s. These days, their grown-up daughters Natassa and Georgina look after the day-to-day running of the business, but their parents still enjoy engaging with their many regular guests whenever they get the opportunity, and the whole family are happy to offer local information and advice, alongside genuine Greek hospitality.
Light and airy inside, the apartments are well maintained and attractively furnished. Whilst varying in size and layout, all have modern bath or shower rooms and simple open-plan kitchenettes with a two-ring hob, fridge and electric kettle, and all are equipped with air-conditioning, free WiFi and hairdryers. There is a choice of open-plan studios on the ground floor and apartments with one or two bedrooms and a separate living room. At the top of the building are the split-level maisonettes, with spacious open-plan bed-sitting room with kitchenette and shower room on the lover level, and a spiral staircase leading to an attic room with twin beds under the eaves. The maisonettes have balconies on both floors, benefitting fully from the elevated views.
Villa Nafsika's grounds lead all the way down to the shore and have been attractively landscaped into several terraces for relaxing, sunbathing and savouring the views. These are particularly enchanting from the raised deck area, where many guests enjoy taking their morning coffee or a refreshing drink in the evening. Just below Villa Nafsika is a small pebble beach which is just perfect for that early morning swim or a refreshing dip at any time of the day. During high season, a small snack bar operates here in the daytime. The main beach and village of Kerveli with its pair of seasonal tavernas is approximately 10 minutes' walk away past the pretty Kerveli Village Hotel and Dive Centre.
For guests simply wishing to relax and enjoy Villa Nafsika's scenic setting and stunning views, a hire car is not essential, but we would strongly recommend hiring one for at least part of your stay to any guests keen on exploring further afield.
