Bungalows Coloradamar by LIVVO

Situated in the area of Las Coloradas on the eastern outskirts of Playa Blanca, Bungalows Coloradamar offer comfortable accommodation in a quiet setting, ideal both for families and for couples who prefer a little extra space. Although most or the 32 bungalows that make up this attractively designed complex are either terraced or semi-detached, they are slightly staggered and arranged at different levels, so that each enjoys a decent degree of privacy, a pleasant outlook and a generous amount of outside space.

Each bungalow has approximately 70 square metres living space inside, plus a large terrace with a pair of sun-loungers and a table and chairs for dining al-fresco. The front door leads directly into the living-dining room, with an open-plan kitchen equipped with fridge-freezer, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffeemaker. To one side of this is the master bedroom, which has twin beds arranged side by side (that can be made up as a double on request) and an en suite bathroom. To the other is a room that can be used as a sitting room or second bedroom, with a large and comfortable sofa-bed suitable for one adult or two children, as well as another shower room and an internal patio for drying clothes. All bungalows are equipped with free WiFi, air-conditioning, TVs (with limited English-language channels) and hairdryers, and maid service is provided five days a weel. Cachet Travel guests can choose between bungalows with views towards the sea from their terraces, and bungalows with an outside hydromassage tub; both types also come with bathrobes, pool towels and free use of the safety deposit boxes.

Coloradamar's reception is open in the mornings, during which time the friendly team will be happy to assist with any local advise you may require, or to arrange extras such as bicycle hire. Next to the reception there is a tennis court (payable locally), and there is also an attractive freeform swimming pool, a paddling pool for toddlers and a communal Jacuzzi.

To maintain the peaceful atmosphere at Coloradamar, there is no bar or restaurant on site, but for those not wishing to prepare their own breakfast, we can offer the apartments with a daily buffet breakfast included at the Bocayna Village hotel just across the road. The nearest restaurant is just a minute's walk from the reception, and several more can be found within a 5-minute walk alongside a small shopping centre with a well-stocked supermarket . The nearest beach, Playa de las Coloradas, is just 300 metres away but is quite stony depending on the tide. The first of the protected golden sand beaches of Papagayo, Playa Mujeres, can be reached on foot along a rough track in 20 to 30 minutes. A similar distance in the opposite direction will take you to the pretty Rubicon Marina with its smart eateries and designer boutiques, and the centre of Playa Blanca is a very pleasant 45-minute stroll along the pedestrian seafront promenade. Alternatively, the local bus service stops close by, and local taxis are also inexpensive, so a car is not required by those simply seeking a relaxing seaside holiday.
