The family-owned Osmanli Hani Apartments offer comfortable and stylish self-catering accommodation in a peaceful yet convenient location. Attractively designed to reflect the architectural traditions of the Ottoman era, the apartments stand in a quiet part of Dalyan just 100 metres or so from the river. Walking along the riverside path, which is well lit at night, it takes just 10 minutes to reach the picturesque harbour, and just 5 minutes more to visit the main village square and the bustling shopping streets, where a wide range of shops selling everything from herbs and spices to clothing and Turkish carpets are interspersed with enticing restaurants and relaxed bars.
The 14 apartments are divided between three two-storey buildings arranged around a very large central swimming pool. A poolside terrace and lawn provide plenty of space for sunbathing and daydreaming, and there is a separate paddling pool for younger children. A small pool bar is on hand to serve refreshing drinks and light snacks during the day.
There are two sizes of apartment to choose from. The two-bedroom apartments can comfortably accommodate a family of up to five people, with two bedrooms (one double and one twin) joined by a jack-and-jill shower room, plus a divan in the lounge suitable for a child. The one-bedroom apartments sleep up to three, most having a double bedroom and a divan bed in the lounge. All apartments have hairdryers in the shower rooms, and kitchenettes equipped with a two-ring hob, fridge, kettle and toaster. The décor and furnishings are of a good, modern standard, and the bedrooms are all air-conditioned - a welcome bonus in the height of the season. Each also has an enclosed balcony or terrace, facing away from the pool.
At least once or twice during their stay, most guests decide to catch one of the riverboats from the harbour to visit the stunning sandy beach of Iztuzu, but for much of the time guests are happy to simply relax back at base and to enjoy what must be one of the largest and most attractive swimming pools in the whole of Dalyan.
