Hotel Avra Rafina

Situated right on the seafront in the small port town of Rafina, this modern hotel makes a convenient venue for guests who require a stop-over near Athens Airport but neither wish to stay at the airport itself, nor get involved in the hustle and bustle of central Athens. Rafina is located just under 15 km north-east of the airport, and the hotel provides a complimentary minibus shuttle service to and from the terminal, which takes approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic.

The 4-star Hotel Avra Rafina consists of 96 guestrooms, all with modern en-suite bath or shower rooms and private balconies. Standard rooms are compact but well appointed and equipped with air-conditioning, free WiFi, TV, safety-deposit boxes, fridges and hairdryers. Superior Triple rooms are more spacious with an additional sofa bed and have full or lateral sea views from their balconies, as do the quadruple rooms.

A comprehensive buffet breakfast is served from 6 to 10 am, and the hotel's sea-facing restaurant and terrace are also open for lunch, dinner and snacks in between. Alternatively, it's just the shortest of strolls to the port with its selection of fish tavernas, whilst just to the other side of the hotel you will find Rafina's beach, so depending on the time of your flights, you may even have time for a swim and some sun-bathing before travelling on to your final destination.
