This small, family-run hotel stands on the hillside above the road leading into Agia Pelagia, towards the southern end of the village. To make the most of its elevated setting, it has been designed so that each of its 14 guestrooms enjoys splendid views across the sea to the south-eastern tip of the Peloponnese on the Greek mainland. These views are especially enchanting at sunrise, so we would recommend getting up early at least once during your stay!
The rooms are attractively furnished and decorated and each has a balcony from which to enjoy those views. Standard facilities include mini-bars, satellite TV (limited English-language channels), telephones, safety-deposit boxes, hairdryers and the all-important air-conditioning, and naturally each room has an en-suite shower room. WiFi is provided free of charge.
The public areas are equally modern in style and include a breakfast area, where you can start the day with a wholesome spread, a comfortable lounge and the bar where you can get to know your fellow holidaymakers as well as the hotel's friendly owner George, who together with his family is always on site to ensure that everyone is happy and to offer local advice.
Although the hotel does not have a pool, it is well placed for access to various beaches. In addition to the beaches that back onto the village of Agia Pelagia itself (the nearest of which is approximately 450 metres away), there are others just to the south of the village that remain completely undeveloped, such as Lorentzo and Lagada. The centre of Agia Pelagia with its excellent choice of tavernas is approximately 10 - 15 minutes' walk away from Irida, and the owners even offer guests a free transfer to and from the village once a day, subject to availability.
